The Other Space Foundation, Poland

The fundamental objective of "The Other Space Foundation" is to open new space for social and artistic expression. The Foundation implements and runs innovation cultural and artistic projects as well as social projects in the attempt to make real change in Poland and various corners of the world: on Caucasus Region, in Ukraine, in Russia.

Up to 2008 the Foundation realized over twenty projects. It is permanently involved in the implementation of such projects as:

1. The portal “Continent Warsaw”– Warsaw of Many Cultures (www.kontynent.waw.pl);
2. The Tibetan Program (www.ratujTybet.org);
3. Transkaukazja Festival (www.transkaukazja.pl).

The Other Space Foundation ran some major projects such as:

1. “Childbirth with Dignity – Azerbaijan”;
2. “Development Assistance for Georgia”;
3. „Making youngsters from Azerbaijani orphanages more self-dependent”;
4. „Be aware” and “Euroforum Poland Seminar – Youth in Action: projects for Intercultural Dialogue and Development of Democratic Multicultural Society” were realised with cooperation with „Youth Programme” and „Youth in Action Programme”.

The Foundation conducts a number of actions on behalf of various ethnic minority groups living in Warsaw and realizes some unconventional projects inspired by the history of Warsaw.
